REQUIREMENTS
2+ years experience in marine painting
Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
Must have extensive knowledge of marine coatings products and painting equipment
Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
Must be able to properly prepare, clean, and tapes all jobsites.
Excellent customer service skills – known as someone who goes above and beyond
Must have a positive attitude
Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills
Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and maintain a rapid pace. Quality oriented.
JOB DESCRIPTION.
Lead the paint technicians to properly prepare vessel's surfaces.
Properly spray all high quality marine coatings, mix and prepare all materials as per manufacture's specifications.
Blend paints and other materials to achieve the texture and paint surfaces according to instructions.
Cover or tent all areas to prepare for paint.
Assists with a number of projects at one time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
The employee is regular required to sit, talk, hear, walk and lift.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to stand, climb ladders and walk on even and un-even surfaces.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Attendance
Must have regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed and potentially work alternate shifts as determined by aircraft schedules and manpower needs.
